An Adventure Weekend in Snowdonia

If you’ve thought about taking the plunge but don’t know where to start why not try a guided adventure break? A weekend itinerary might look like this:

Friday

Meet for an evening meal at Pete’s Eats in Llanberis, then settle in your
accommodation at one of the many B&Bs in the village.

Saturday

After breakfast at your B&B, we all meet up for a brief of the day, just a quick chat to let you know what’s going on and what you’ll need with you.
First activity will be Canoeing on Llyn Padarn (Llanberis Lake), a nice 10 minute walk away, from here we will have great views of Snowdon and the old slate quarries. We will be kitted up and paddling in pairs in sturdy Canadian Canoes, starting off in the shelter of the Lagoons, then we can venture out onto the open lake.

A packed lunch is provided, we’ll find a nice spot for a picnic

After lunch we will set off for Ropeworks Active, a great High Ropes Course in Llanberis. You will be harnessed up and challenged to ‘walk the high wire’, climb and jump the ‘leap of faith’, swish through the trees on a ‘zip wire’ and the ultimate thrill, the ‘Giant Swing’. A ropes course is great for all women to ‘feel the fear, and laugh about it‘. You can choose to participate in any of the elements of the course.

Tea and cake time about 5pm

Saturday’s evenings meal is booked at the Gallt Y Glyn Restaurant, a local, warm and friendly pub/restaurant.

Sunday

Meet up again for a morning brief. There is a choice of activity this morning, dependent on the weather and tides.

Gorge Walking is a wet, fun activity. Wet-suited up we will ascend as a team up through a flowing gorge. We will throw in some challenges en-route andhave a go at jumping in the plunge pools. Gorge Walking takes you into some remote, beautiful and unspoilt spots in the heart of Snowdonia. Flora and fauna galore.

Or, If the weather and tide agrees we will be Coasteering. A fantastic adventure which takes us to the Anglesey coast. We will be all kitted up again and traversing along the cliffs with the sea splashing atour feet,or bobbing around in the sea.Very exhilarating. There are some great places to have a go at cliff jumping too. A real escape and laughs guaranteed.

Lunch provided

The afternoon’s activity is Rock Climbing/Abseiling. We will pick a suitable crag in Snowdonia for everyone to ‘get high’. You will learn the ropes too and can help each other out belaying.

Tea and cake time about 5pm

After a cuppa the holiday is over. If you wish to continue your stay in Llanberis for another night then just let us know and we can book you in.

If you have any suggestions for Holidays, please let us know.
